Old and new

When I had a clear out of old musical equipment recently, there were a few things I couldn't get rid of.

The Yamaha QY70 can sounds wonderfully cheesy but has a lot of potential as a squencer and sketchpad for ideas. The first thing I did with it was write  a string quartet and then make an album's worth of instrumentals. Very little of that is any good but I learnt a lot from doing it.

Now, this aging device is being plugged into a modern pedal, the Particle by Red Panda. Strange and interesting things are appearing and I'm having a great time.
